LOGOS is pleased to announce that a LOGOS managed vehicle has acquired a 69,000sqm industrial logistics site in the southeastern Jiangsu Province, the heart of China’s Yangtze River Delta region.

The Wujiang FOHO greenfield site is located within an established e-commerce hub, with nearby enterprises including retailer Gap Inc., British technology firm, Dyson Ltd., and the NASDAQ listed ecommerce services provider, Baozun.com. The site has immediate access to the G50 expressway, connecting Wujiang FOHO to Shanghai’s westside and Hongqiao International Airport. LOGOS will develop the site during 2018 into a three-story ramped logistics park with a total GLA of 102,198sqm.

LOGOS Joint Managing Director, John Marsh, said: “Rapid e-commerce adoption in China is increasing the scale of new leasing requirements, and we are seeing many tenants configuring operational solutions around multi-story facilities. The Wujiang FOHO site is a strategic acquisition in a land constrained region that will allow us to service this growing requirement and meet our customers’ continued demand for well located, modern logistics facilities.

“Construction will commence on site shortly, with the park to be completed later this year. We are currently in discussions with a number of potential tenants for the park and anticipate the end user will make use of automation technology, an element that is increasingly becoming a feature of large footprint ecommerce operations in China,” he added.

Wujiang FOHO rests at the nexus of China’s largest population base, the Greater Yangtze River Delta region, with over 130 million people, and highest GDP output. The park is uniquely suited to serving the region’s population clusters of Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou, and Ningbo in addition to having the capability to serve as a national e-commerce fulfillment center.

Daniel Cai, Chief Operating Officer, said: “Technological innovation both in supply chain management, and construction of modern logistics facilities, is incubating dynamic market changes in Mainland China. LOGOS will continue to listen to our customers’ needs when delivering next generation facilities like the type to be developed in Wujiang FOHO.”

LOGOS manage approximately one million square meters of GLA across existing and under development projects within its ventures in China and will continue to expand its service offerings across the mainlands strategic urban markets.
